Long and Lean

While lying in the bed on either your back or side, stretch out Long and Lean. Feel the spine flex to it's fullest, and the hip joints pull down toward the feet. Knees are not bent to bring your thighs up, but instead just slightly bent, legs extended, feet pushing toward the end of the bed, originating from the hip joints. Shoulders are down and relaxed. Back and neck are relaxed. Head can be slightly tilted down, but be aware of the nerve bundle at the back of the neck, making sure it feels open and not pinched off. Instead of the body drawing in on it's self and reverting to a fetal position, BE, confident, open and sure of your position to stretch out your body to it's fullest. CP
